The owners of PhotoPie had used an Internet Marketing Company that was overly aggressive with links and Google penalized the site. The owners moved domains and in the process saw a massive decrease in organic and overall traffic. Paid advertising wasn’t quite breaking even and as a last ditch effort the owners decided to sell the website to Nifty.
The first thing we did was launch a new and improved responsive website which lead to a 80% increase in traffic, and a 59% increase in total sales year over year. We added e-commerce tracking to identify how the adwords account was performing and restructured the account to focus on high margin items. Overall profitability of the company is up over 80% for our first year of ownership and all signs point upwards.
